My name is Bobbi Beard, and I am currently in my 25th year of teaching. I earned my B.S.Ed. and M.S.Ed degrees from Southwest Missouri State University (now MSU) and completed coursework (dissertation still ahead) for an Ed.D. at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Before coming to Westport, I taught 18 years at Central Bible College. My additional years of teaching were spent at Evangel and on the secondary level in public school. My teaching has always been about helping students in the areas of reading and writing. When I'm not at school, you'll find me spending time with my two teenage children, Mitchell and McKalee, who are involved in music, sports, and church activities. I enjoy reading, playing the piano, scrapbooking, spending time with my family, and attending my children's music and sports events. We also have a dog named Peaches who is spoiled beyond all reason. I love teaching at Westport! We have the best students and staff anywhere! Go, WESTPORT WILDCATS!

Hi! My name is Angela Mansel and I am the Literacy Coach at Westport Elementary. This is my second year as a coach, before that I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I have been with the Springfield school system for a total of 12 years. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri. I earned my Bachelor's in Education at Missouri State University and I am currently working on my Master's in Reading. I am married to my wonderful husband, Richard, and I have 2 children; a son named Clayton (12 years old) and a daughter named MacKenzie (9 years old).

My name is Nancy Hall and I am a Reading Specialist at Westport Elementary. I have been teaching for 15 years and this is my fifth year at Westport. My daughter Lonni attends Westport and is very active in Little Theatre. I enjoy reading, camping, and gardening.
My name is Mrs. Gentry. I am the Title I Math teacher and this is my sixth year. I am one of five teachers in the state of Missouri certified in Math Recovery. There will soon be a link to my web page which will list several game and practice sites.
At this time I recommend www.everydaymathonline.com for games and a Student Reference Book.
The Springfield R12 School Board greatly encourages each student in grades 2-5 to take their SRB home each night to help with homework and for the parents to understand Everyday Math concepts also.
