My name is Lindsay Bouska. This is my third year teaching kindergarten at Westport Elementary. I graduated wtih a degree in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University in May 2008. I enjoy reading to and with my students, and doing hands-on activities as a class. I live in Springfield with my puppy, Penelope. Although most of my time is spent on my wonderful students, in my free time I love to read, go to the movies, and scrapbook. I look forward to getting to know your family this school year!
My name is Sheri Bryan. This is my 7th year of teaching kindergarten. Previously I worked for 14 years as a parent educator in the Parents as Teachers program for SPS. I am married to Doug, a Public Health Veterinarian. We have 2 married children, Ethan (Jamie) and Katy (Joseph). We also have 2 granddaughters, Kaylea and Sophie.
I love to read to my class and use books in all parts of our day. We work on being kind as we work together. I look forward to meeting the families of my students. Working together we can make this a wonderful year for the Kinder Stars!
My name is Angie Toomey. I have taught kindergarten for the past 5 years. I can truly say "I love my job!" I love working at Westport, this is my 20th year. My previous background here has been as an aide in the following areas, cross-cat, self-contained behavior classroom, early childhood spec. ed, several self-contained spec. ed. classes and kindergarten. I feel these areas have better equipped me to meet the needs of my students.
