My name is Peggy Curts. I have been teaching since 1981. I graduated from SMSU/MSU and I have taught high school english, kindergarten and first grade. I love teaching first grade at Westport because the students have such a desire to learn. I live in Bolivar, MO and I have 3 children. One of my favorite "first grade" sayings is: You never stand so tall as when you stoop to help a child. Go Westport Wildcats!

My name is Nancy Johnson. I have been a teacher at Westport for 19 years, so obviously I love this school! Some of you may remember me as Miss Smith, but I got married and am now Mrs. Johnson. I have a wonderful husband and 2 great stepchildren. I am happy being a part of the Westport family!

Hi, my name is Cheryl Walker. I teach first grade. I have been in this room, in this grade for ten years! My biggest emphasis in my classroom is manners and caring for each other. I pick Mr. Manners and Miss Manners each week. As part of the Literacy Model we do lots of writing and that makes us better readers. We are becoming self-regulated workers! I have three grown children. That brings me to my favorite job, being a Grandma! I have two granddaughters, Eppie and Moriah.
