Nominate a candidate for Teacher of the Year It is time to submit nominees for 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year. The nomination form is easy to complete and can be submitted by anyone. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Feb. 10. Just fill out the pertinent information and explain in 100 words or less why you are nominating the individual. Read more.
New Student Registration
Registration is August 11, 2010, 9AM to 3PM. Please bring: Social Security Card Birth Certificate Immunization Record Proof of Residency, CU Bill or Signed lease preferred.

Date: Saturday, August 14 Time: 11 am - 1 pm Registration: Westport Cafeteria Please enter through the northside cafeteria door. Come and enjoy the fun and get prepared for the coming school year with: Music! Free Food! Free school supplies! Free haircuts! Free clothing! Free books! Crafts! Games! and Face painting! The day begins in the cafeteria with registration for school supplies, haircuts, clothes, and hygenie supplies. The fun continues outside with food, games, crafts, books, and a concert. We will be accepting donations of canned goods (1 per person), which will be given to Grand Oak Mission to serve our community. This event is sponsored by local faith partners: College Street Baptist, Golden Avenue Baptist, New Start, and Second Baptist in partnership with Community LOVE for Kids.

Box Top Collection
Our PTA is collecting Box Tops again this year. Each quarter, the class who brings in the most Box Tops earns a party! Just clip the Box Tops logo off of any participating product and send it to school with your child. The money earned from Box Top collection is being placed in a fund for new playground equipment, so let's get collecting! For a complete list of products with Box Tops labels, click here.
MealPayPlus
Make payments to your student's meal account online at mealpayplus.com. Please follow the step by step instructions in the link provided to setup your account. You must have your student or staff id number to complete account setup. If you need further assistance please contact Joyce Lancaster at jlancaster@spsmail.org.
School Information
Doors open at 8AM for breakfast. Students are not allowed in classrooms until 8:30 AM. School starts at 8:45 AM. Anyone arriving later than 9 AM will be counted tardy. School dismisses at 3:30 PM.
