Mark Twain students and PTA care for their community and want to make a difference.
Mark Twain students will have several opportunities to be involved in community service this year. Below is our calendar of events for the 2009-2010 school year. Thank you to student council members for helping us support our community. Other opportunities will be announced as needs arise.
December 2009
Stocking Sale for Newborns in Need:Paper stockings will be on sale during lunch for $1.00 each. Students can decorate a paper stocking which will then be displayed on our windows. All proceeds will go to Newborns in Need of Springfield, MO.
Holiday Food Baskets:
Twain will sponsor Holiday Baskets for several families. Students can donate food items which will be divided between the families. Profit from the STUCO school store will also be used to purchase perishable food items for the baskets.
February 2010
Valentine Grams - STUCO will sell Valentine Grams February 1-12 during lunch. Valentine Grams will be delivered to students during the Valentine's Day Parities on Feb. 12th. All profit raised will be donated to Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks.
March 2010
Shamrock Sales - STUCO will sell paper shamrocks for $1.00 or $5.00 each. Students can write their name on them and then they are displayed on the front windows. All proceeds will go to MDA (Muscular Dystrophie Association).
