This Week

What a wonderful week and especially a wonderful day. I want to thank each and every one of you for helping your child get ready for the 100th day of school. I was impressed with all the creativity!

This is a great day to stop and think about how far we have come and all we have learned. I thank you for all of your support in these first 100 days and look forward to the rest.

This week we looked at addition sentences and practiced on different levels our addition. The students have a strong foundation of number sense which is wonderful.

Next week we will be looking at the presidents to help focus on money.

 

Valentine Party

Today I am sending home a class list for Valentine's Day. Please make sure when you make valentines there is one for each child in the class, we don't want feelings to get hurt. Also, practice is always important so please have your child fill out the valentines. They are very good at writing each other's names.

I am also asking that you make some kind of valentine "box." This can be anything you want to decorate with your child a bag would work too. Just make sure there is a whole that makes it easy to get the valentines in. It does not have to be elaborate just have fun with it :)

Advanced Planning

We will have a math night coming up on February 16. We will talk and play math games from our classroom.

Don't forget to be bring in fun night items, the basket is a lot of work and the more we have the better it will be!
