Reader's Workshop: Book Clubs/Independent Reading/Synthesizing

**Students are to be reading 30 minutes, five nights a week and recording the book title and page numbers read on the reading calendar. Please make sure you sign each week to verify that they have completed the task. Reading calendars are to be turned in at the end of each month. This calendar is worth 40 points and part of their reading grade. It will be out next week.

*There is also the STAR Reader calendar. If your student would like to participate, just fill in the time on both calendars. Your child doesn't have to read double the minutes.

Writer's Workshop: Pourquoi Tale

Grammar: none

Spelling: None. Each week, students will have a list of 12 words that go along with the spelling concept for that week. Students will also pick two more words off of an "extra word list" they created. So students will have a total of 14 words each week.

Math: We will be using this time to work on our Science Fair projects. Please bring in the display boards as soon as you can.
