My Can Do Kids were so excited to have had nine Painted Lady butterflies hatch in our room. It was sad to let them go, but we all did this last Friday. Now we are watching our kidney beans grow. We will send them home later this week for you to enjoy, too!

 

For the rest of this year we will be reviewing words we know we must be able to spell to be good writers. We will not have spelling tests but will have fun practices in class. Thanks to all of you for helping your Can Do Kid do so well on our weekly spelling tests!

 

The children and I want to thank all of you for coming to the Dickerson Park Zoo with us last week. If you were able to join us at Doling Park, you know the children continued to have so much fun. It was wonderful!

 

We will have our First Grade Awards Assembly on Tuesday, May 22nd at 9:30. The children have worked hard and are anxious to receive these awards. Please come if you can!

 

 

There are still a few Spring Picture to be returned. Thanks to those of you who have turned your pictures or money in.

 

We need to know if your child will need a sack lunch on the last day of school. If you have already let us know, THANKS!

 

I want to remind you that Field Day is Friday! We have McDonald's for lunch! Please dress your Can Do Kid for the fun!
