Newton M. Rountree Elementary School has been an anchor of the Rountree neighborhood since 1917. Since its opening as a K-8 school the original building has has several additions, grade reconfigurations and enrollment fluctuations. Rountree has a current student population of approximately 270 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
We are currently an International Baccalaurate Primary Years Programme Candidate school. Our goal is to be fully authorized by the spring/summer of 2013. This is an exciting chapter in the history of Rountree school, and we invite you to call Rountree for more details.
