 Vision Statement

 Parents, students, community members, and faculty and staff have an interest in the effectiveness of our public schools.  Because they participate, each group affects the quality of public education.  Responsibility and, therefore, accountability for results are shared.  Together, we accept the challenge to accomplish Pipkin’s mission:  Excellent Teaching and Learning for All.

 To accomplish this mission Pipkin’s educational community has agreed upon the following standards of excellence:

 

School climate

·        Maintain a safe and orderly environment emphasizing caring, mutual respect, and positive interpersonal relationships.

·        Work collaboratively with other members of the educational community.

·        Problem-solve and dialogue using a no-fault, collaboration, and consensus process.

·        Enhance understanding through active listening.

 

Academic program

·        Provide highly competent professionals.

·        Deliver quality instruction.

·        Set high expectations for students.

·        Provide interventions for students who are unsuccessful.

 

Students

·        Make learning a priority.

·        Attend school on a daily basis.

·        Study and prepare for classes.

·        Seek additional instruction as needed to achieve understanding.

 

Parents  and Community

·        Make school and education a priority.

·        Set high expectations for their children.

·        Model supportive involvement in the teaching and learning process.

·        Send students to school on a daily basis ready to learn.
