Spanish Club has been a large club at Parkview for many years.  Our primary goal is to provide opportunities to learn more about Hispanic culture.  Membership and participation in Spanish Club also help meet the criteria for a Seal of Excellence in Foreign Language.  Membership dues are $3 per year ($1 for students who were members the previous year) and members are not required to currently be enrolled in a Spanish class.

We plan at least one major activity per quarter such as participating in Viking Fest, Sidewalk Art for Homecoming, observing the Mexican holiday of Día de los Muertos, and our annual trip to Kansas City.  This year we hope to have the opportunity to learn the tango and have some foreign film nights with refreshments.  This year we will sponsor a department-wide fundraiser to help provide materials for our classrooms, our new Language Learning Center, and to support our scholarship for a graduating senior.  Additional information is available from Spanish teachers or on our bulletin board right outside room 243 on the South wing. We do not have a set meeting night because of the after-school commitments of the sponsors.  Meetings are announced several days ahead of time on the morning announcements, in class, and on the Spanish Club bulletin board.

Anyone interested in Spanish Club needs to pay dues by Friday, Sept. 15
