Students Against Destructive Decisions is otherwise known as SADD.  The dangers for young people are no longer limited to just underage drinking and impaired driving. Underage, inexperienced drinking and drug use are strongly linked to destructive and dangerous consequences such as violence, suicide, unwanted pregnancy, alcohol poisoning, and date rape.

High school students make their own decisions and their own choices. Making these choices is all a part of growing up. The choice to drink or to do drugs can rob young people of their dreams and the dreams of people they love and who love them. Their choice can also rob the dreams of someone they don't know.

SADD chapters hope that all young people will remain alcohol and drug free but it is a choice young people will make for themselves. SADD chapters can only provide activities that challenge them to make positive decisions.

The PHS SADD chapter will be working towards developing those activities for Parkview students.

If you are concerned about your health and happiness and the health and happiness of your friends and family, join us and you can make a difference. When people work together to raise an important issue and talk about a community problem, awareness is increased, and hopefully, destructive behaviors can be changed. Parkview is our community and we all bear some responsibility for those around us. Involvement in SADD can cause positive change. We need you!
