| Parkview's first
nationally-recognized Math Club. Monthly meetings may consist of guest
speakers from the business community or members of local
colleges/universities, math-related activities, competitions, etc. Members
must have at least a B average in all of their college preparatory math
classes. There are two classes of membership.
1. Full Membership: the student must have completed five semesters of college preparatory mathematics or have completed four and enrolled in a fifth. There are scholarships available. 2. Associate Membership: The student must have completed two semesters of algebra with distinction and be enrolled in a third semester of college preparatory math. Associate members are not yet full members; therefore, they do not pay dues and are not eligible for Mu Alpha theta benefits such as prizes and scholarships until they are inducted as full members.
