International Thespian Society (Drama Club) was founded at Parkview in 1992. ITS’s purpose is to educate and enjoy the performing arts in a high school setting.  ITS produces three main stage shows, including two musicals and one full length play, and also has two one-act competition pieces a year.  Parkview Theatre was honored in 2004 as one of seven of the best shows in the USA and Canada .  ITS was asked to perform at “Clue: The Musical” at the prestigious International Thespian Festival.  Thespians also participate in several other club events including picnics, Trick or Treat so Tots can Eat (a community service project), holiday parties, lock-ins, etc.  ITS also participates in the honor theatre review group called Cappies (to learn more about Cappies visit www.cappies.com).
