Family, Career and Community Leaders of America

The mission of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is to prepare students for family, work, and careers in family and consumer sciences.  We strive to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors needed for:

1.  strengthening the individuals and the family

2.  becoming responsible citizens and leaders.

3.  promoting optimal nutrition and wellness

4.  managing resources

5.  balancing personal, home, family and work

The FCCLA club provides students the opportunity for hands-on experiences.  Students determine the specific activities each year.  Our leadership has expressed a sincere interest in working towards a meaningful year by increasing membership, seeking out community services and developing self-improvement programs.

Community service projects for this year will include: “Newborns In Need”, adoption of a local nursing home, and Springfield Adopt a Street Program.

We encourage all students who have been or are currently enrolled in FCCLA classes to join us every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
