A significant part of the gifted program's responsibility involves evaluating student needs. The referral process initiates a series of steps culminating in IQ testing. Additional testing related to kindergarten students, Missouri Scholars Academy, SCHOLARS, potential grade acceleration or a variety of other requests makes our testing program very busy. The tentative testing schedule is as follows:

September and October - Open testing window (based on referrals)

November and December - SCHOLARS testing window

January and February - Missouri Scholars Academy testing window

March - Request for referrals

April thru June - Open testing window (testing students for upcoming school year)

August - New to district testing window
