ESSENTIAL INFORMATION ABOUT PICKING UP YOUR CHILD AT WINGS Picking up your child can be frustrating, especially your first few times. Since no district transportation is available, all WINGS children are transported by their parents. The result is a large number of vehicles crowding into our parking lot and adjacent streets beginning around 2:15 and stretching to around 3:00. Here are some "keys" to success. . . PRE-PLANNING - Make sure your child knows who will pick them up - Come "mentally" prepared to sit in a line of cars - Bring something to do while waiting ( book, grocery list, etc.) THE ACTUAL TRIP - Position yourself on HOLLAND so that you can enter the parking lot from the NORTH (heading south towards Grand). The parking lot can only be entered efficiently from this direction - As traffic begins to backup on Holland, remember to allow for cars wishing to enter and exit driveways - Enter the parking lot as the traffic flow dictates - DO NOT go around other cars to pick up your child - You may park and walk to get your child - Children will be loaded into cars in the designated area only - DO NOT wave or motion for them to walk to your car before arriving in the designated area - Exit the parking lot to the RIGHT and onto GRAND.
