Guidance & Counseling are integral parts of Springfield Public School's total education program. The program follows the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program Model guidelines set forth by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The guidance program is developmental by design and includes sequential activities organized and implemented by certified professional school counselors with the support of teachers, administrators, students, and parents. The Guidance Counselor conducts classroom counseling lessons twice a month in each classroom. Three areas that are focused on through lessons are personal & social development, academic development, and career development. Monthly objectives can be found on the "Monthly Objectives" link on the left. Individual and small group counseling are also provided on a variety of topics. My door is always open.
