Mrs. Montgomery graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1980. She began teaching that same year at Bingham Elementary while working on her Masters. She received her Masters from Drury in 1984. In 1998, she joined the Mann family. She says, "Horace Mann is a wonderful school with great students, parents, faculty and staff." |

Mrs. Montgomery is married to Jerry,
a speech pathologist who also works for Springfield Schools. They
have two sons. Jared is in his second year of Teach for
America in Mississippi. Ryan
is a junior at MU in Columbia, MO. They also have a cat named
Callie. When she is not in school, Mrs. Montgomery enjoys flower
gardening, exercising, reading, and spending time with family and
friends.
