With 96 Teachers on staff, Kickapoo is dedicated to education. Kickapoo High School has over 1700 students who are enrolled in grades 9-12. Kickapoo High School is the largest of five high schools in the city. Some of Kickapoo's unique characteristics include; Honors and Advanced Placement courses, independent studies, an Orthopedically Handicapped Program and a Learning Resource Center for special-needs students, dual enrollment programs, a Japanese language program, and a community service program for credit.

Seventy-one percent of Kickapoo graduates took the ACT in 2006-2007. Kickapoo ranks 1.1 points higher than the Missouri composite average, and ranks .7 points higher than the National composite average.
