Nominate now for 2011 SPS Hall of Fame
Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2011 Springfield Public Schools Hall of Fame. Between now and April 30, you may nominate a graduate you believe represents the best and brightest of SPS alumni. SPS is partnering with 417 Magazine to identify Hall of Fame nominees. To be eligible, a nominee must have earned his or her diploma from SPS in 2001 or earlier. To read more or to nominate a candidate, click here.

May 4th- EFG CiCi's Pizza Limo Ride from 11-1
May 7th-Jeffries' Chik Fil A Night on S. Glenstone-20% of all sales (receipts must go in black box at the register and Drive-Thru sales must tell them you are with Jeffries) will come back to Jeffries to be utilized for special classroom projects
May 7-11th- Teacher Appreciation Week
May 8th-4th Grade Field Trip to the Springfield Symphony
May 9th- National School Nurse Day!
May 11th- Staff Appreciation Banquet
May 13th-Mother's Day
May 15th-4th Grade Field Trip to Frontier Theatre; Jeffries' Fine Arts Night-4:30-5:30PM (Honor Choir and Orchestra Performances, Art Work on Display, and more!
May 16th- Talent Show K-2 at 9AM, 3-5 at 1:30
May 17th-5th Grade All City Strings Concert at Glendale High School 7PM
May18th-Olympic Themed Field Trip (K-2 from 9-11AM; 3rd-5th from 1-3PM); Please have students wear the following colors: K and 5th-red; 1st and 4th-blue; 2nd-yellow, 3rd-green). Students should bring: water bottle, sunblock, and an extra pair of clothes (they will probably get wet). Lunch in the classrooms.
May 21st-Perfect Attendance Limo-Incredible Pizza Celebration from 11-1PM-students who qualify will be notified by 5/14/12
May 22nd-End of the Year Celebration Assemblies (K-2 at 9:30AM; 3rd-5th at 1:30PM)
May 23rd- Last Day of School-Dismissal Time: 1:35PM
(No Prime Time after school); 5th Grade Graduation at 11:30 for 5th grade students and parents only; All students will eat in the classroom (either bring a sack lunch or a lunch must be purchased from the cafeteria)-their lunch times will be determined by the teacher; All library charges and lunch balances due; Report cards go home.
