PURPOSE:     

The purpose of the Children’s Literature Festival is to improve literacy by motivating children to read and write.

DAYTIME PROGRAM 

BOOK SALES

*Open to grades 4 - 8   
*Groups may attend morning and/or afternoon session
*Each group will visit 2 authors per session          
*Morning sessions:  9:30 & 10:30     
*Afternoon session:  12:30 & 1:30   

*Selected titles by participating authors
*Plaster Student Union Ballroom West
*Open 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
*During autograph party:  6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  

*Authors will autograph at 8:30 – 9:15 am & 2:30 – 3:00 pm in the Plaster Student Union Ballroom West.
 

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED             

Pre-registration is required of all groups who attend the festival
. Due to the interest in the program and since space is limited; registration forms must be sent postmarked no earlier than September 2, 2009.

Maximum of 15 students per group
*Please have one adult and no more than 15 students per group
*Minimum of 1 adult sponsor per group

FEES

*Adults:  $8.00 ($10.00 if attending all day)
*Children: $2.50 ($5.00 if attending all day)

Autographing Party:  No Fee

FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS

For students’ enjoyment and information, please prepare by reading books by the authors you would like to visit.  The committee does everything possible to place your students into the author sessions you request; however, sometimes you will not get your first choice. These websites are provided to help your students become familiar with the authors.
