- What did it feel like being publicly
shamed
in front of the whole town?
- Were objects thrown at you?

- Did the people of the town treat

Why or why not?
- Will you commit that crime again?

Remember,
you are in the seventeenth century, so keep this in mind when you write
your letter.

To create
your letter:
- Go to Start (lower left side of the computer)
- Click on Programs, then Microsoft Office
- Open Microsoft Word
- Compose your letter
- Be sure to save your letter to your student folder (S:
drive) so you can edit if
necessary
- Once you are satisfied with your letter, print it and turn
it in.
Be sure your name is on the letter.

Grading
rubric:
The letter you write will be worth 25
points
- 10 points for the amount of detail that is included
- 5 points for form, punctuation, and spelling
- 5 points for correct factual information (concerning
the
punishment
and crime)
- 5 points for creativity
