"Walk of Fame"

What is the Falcon Fund?
The Falcon Fund was established by faculty, alumni, parents, and students on the 35th anniversary of Glendale High School to provide additional financial resources for educational enrichment. Public funds can no longer provide for every student's individual educational needs.

Through private donations and/or deferred gifts, The Falcon Fund will assist in answering the educational needs of Glendale High School students. The Falcon Fund is dedicated to pursuing excellence in education for all students.

The Falcon Fund Mission Statement:
The Falcon Fund, the Endowment and Annual Funds for Glendale High School, is dedicated to ensuring that Glendal students have opportunities and resources available to meet their individual educational needs.

Q. Who administers the fund?

A. Funds are held by the Springfield Public Schools Foundation, 3002 W. Kildee Lane, Springfield, Missouri 65810.

Q. Are contributions to The Falcon Fund tax deductible?

A. Yes! The Springfield Public Schools Foundation is a 501(c)3 corporation and a vehicle for individual and corporate tax deductible contributions.

Q. What is the difference between an Annual Fund and an Endowment Fund?

A. Gifts to the annual fund will be distributed in the year they are received. Contributions to the endowment fund are invested for future use and a percentage of the earned interest is dispersed annually.

Q. What are some examples of possible funded opportunities?

A. Grants will be made to increase the educational opportunities in academic, fine arts, leadership, and athletics. Funds are used for enrichment and remedial programs, clinics, trips, and special events that expand a student's knowledge.

Q. How will the funds be distributed?

A. An allocations committee of faculty and a community representative will disperse funds from confidential student applications or staff recommendations.

WALK OF FAME

Make a lasting impression with an engraved "Walk of Fame" granite paver at Glendale High School! (pictured above)

The pavers, which will line the walkways to Glendale High School, will help support our mission of providing additional financial resources for educational enrichment. This will also offer a unique way to commemorate graduations, class reunions, special accomplishments, honor a coach or teacher, and memorials.
