IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Many of you are already aware of the structural changes that will be taking place here at Glendale High School. Please read below how this will affect the traffic flow to the school.

On December 3, 2007, DeWitt & Associates will begin construction on Glendale High School’s new Science Labs and Administration addition. They will start by installing the construction fencing on the east side of the school building, blocking off the circle drive and securing the construction area.

ALL STUDENT/PARENTS/VISITORS THAT NORMALLY USE THE FRONT CIRCLE DRIVE TO DROP OFF OR PICK UP STUDENTS WILL NEED TO ENTER AND EXIT THROUGH THE NORTH PARKING LOT STARTING MONDAY, DECEMBER 3RD.

Guests needing to visit our school during the school day need to enter the south parking lot. Please use the southwest entrance by the loading dock. There will be a sign above the entry door indicating “Glendale High School---Main Entrance.

ALL GUESTS ENTERING THE BUILDING MUST CHECK INTO THE MAIN OFFICE, ROOM 245.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Gary Prouty, Principal

The board unanimously accepted DeWitt & Associates’ base bid of $4,640,000, plus alternates totaling $223,770 for the Glendale High School construction project. The project, approved by voters as part of a $96.5 million bond initiative in 2006, will provide new science/technology labs, renovate old lab space into additional classrooms; remodel and provide new areas for student services and upgrade safety and security. The bid came in as originally estimated.
