Varsity Head Baseball Coach-Howard Bell

This is my 28th year with the Glendale baseball program, the last 5 years as Head Coach. We have been or shared the Ozark Conference Championship 4 of the past 5 years. Our record over this time is 66 - 43.

I played high school at Parkview here in Springfield and played shortstop for the SMSU Bears where I received all-conference 2 years, all-tournament team 2 years. I was Team Captain, SMSU and Conference Player of the year as a senior.

I have been married to my wife Kim for 24 years and have 2 girls, Keshia, age 24 and Kameron, age 17.

Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach-Mike Snodgrass

This is Mike's sixth year as Glendale's Varsity Assistant although he has been involved in Glendale Baseball is some capacity for the past 30 years. Mike played high school baseball at Hillcrest High School. His 1979 team is the only squad in Missouri history to win the school ball and legion ball state championship during the same season. Mike played center field and earned 1st Team All-State honors. Mike then played one year at Southwest Baptist University earning 1st Team All-District honors.

After transferring to SMSU, Mike played three years for the Bears. His senior year, hitting lead-off and playing center field, Mike earned All-Conference honors as the Bears won the inaugural AMCU tournament. Mike has coached in Glendale's Legion program on all the various levels. He was the hitting, baserunning, and team defense coach for Evangel University from 1998-2000.

Mike has been teaching at Glendale for 24 years and currently is serving as the Academic Team Coach and is the Head of the Social Studies Department. Mike has been married to his wife, Tracy, for 27 years and has two children, Tyler, age 21 and Zachary age 19.

Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach- Jeff Elsenraat

This is Jeff's second year as a coach with the Glendale baseball program. Jeff played high school baseball at Hermann High School where he played first base, right field, and led the Four Rivers Conference in triples his senior year. He then went on to play in college at Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO.

Jeff started out his coaching career in Iberia, MO in which he helped lead the team to a third place finish at state in 2005. In 2006, he became the head coach at Vienna High School, and then in 2008 moved on to Hurley High School. Jeff is also a part of the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association and serves as the Class 1A Vice-President and the Newcomer of the Year Chairman. Jeff is in his 6th year of teaching and is in his 2nd year at Pershing Middle School, and is excited to be a part of Glendale baseball for the 2011 season.

Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach-Matt Walker

This is Matt's first year at Glendale High School. Matt teaches in the History Department. He graduated High School from Republic and received his education degree from Missouri State University in 2007. Matt has been an assistant baseball coach at Republic, Springfield Catholic, and Morrisville as well as a Head Coach at Halfway High School.
