Fundraising Committee Volunteers Needed
Donation Drive
This committee will organize and promote an important and
brand new fundraiser for Disney! Volunteers will help promote participation
by creating fliers, posters and advertisements in the school newsletter
and organizing a contest among classrooms for participation. Volunteers
will also assist in the collection of funds. The drive is held for
1 week during the fall.
Box
Tops Collection
Volunteers help with the collection, cutting and redemption of Box
Tops, Best Choice and Tyson labels, most of which can be done at home.
This job is ongoing throughout the school year.
Campbell
Label Collection
Volunteers help with the collection, cutting
and redemption of Campbell product labels, most of which can be done
at home. This job is ongoing throughout the school year.
Entertainment
Books
Volunteers
assist with labeling, distributing, collecting, processing, and delivering
orders for this fundraiser. This is an intense, but short-term time
commitment that is needed at the beginning of the school year.
Fun
Fair
Volunteers are needed for this annual event in April.
Volunteers will be asked to work a room with a game, face paint,
serve food and drinks, take tickets or help in many positions that
are always challenging to fill because of the number of parents needed
to make this event a success. This is a great opportunity for working
parents that cannot always help out at their child's school during
daytime hours.
T-shirt
Sales
This committee coordinates the sale and delivery of Disney t-shirts in the
fall. This is a short term commitment.
Fall
Social Event
Volunteers
will assist in any and all jobs associated with this annual event,
such as cakewalk worker, face-painter, food worker or whatever type
of help we are in need of at the time. In years past, this has been
a Sock Hop and a Disco; if anyone has
any
ideas
for
future dances, please contact this committee chairperson. This is
a working-parent friendly event that normally takes place in the
fall on a Friday evening.
School Picture Day
Volunteers organize and guide students through the picture taking
process. 2-3 volunteers are needed to assist during fall and spring
picture days.
Skating
Parties
Volunteers assist the chairperson in organizing
the monthly skating parties for Disney by setting a theme for each
party, tallying classroom attendance for the participation contest
that takes place among the classrooms and drawing for door prizes.
Volunteers also assist with awarding the winning classroom with a
party or special prize.
Turover Strauss Marketing Liason
This committee works with a representative from Turover Strauss,
a local marketing company, in distributing surveys to Disney families
and collecting and returning completed surveys to the company for
which the school receives monetary compensation.
Yearbook
This committee prepares, sells and delivers the annual yearbook.
