BOSTON UNIVERSITY (Boston, MA)

            Deadline:  April 1 (Research Internship), May 17 (High School Honors), When Full
            Dates:  June 27 thru Aug 6 (Research & Honors), Various Dates for others
            Cost:  $530 per credit and up
            Currently in Grades:  8 thru 11
            High School Honors earns up to 8 college credits, Reaearch Internship is for those
            interested in scientific research, Summer Challenge offers 2 subjects, and Summer
            Preview offers 1 subject

BOSTON UNIVERSITY (Boston, MA)

            Deadline:  May 30
            Dates:  June 27 thru August 7
            Cost:  $2,700 (financial assistance available)
            Currently in Grades:  9 – 11
            Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS) offers an intensive experience
            in mathematical exploration.  Registration limited to 65 students.

CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE (Cambridge, England)

            Deadline:  Open until all classes are filled
            Dates:  July 22 to Aug 11 (can add another week in Paris, if desired)
            Cost: $5,995
            Currently in Grades:  9 thru 12
Earn college credits while attending classes in London, with day trips to surrounding sites.

COX COLLEGE (Springfield, MO)

HEALTH CARE BOOT CAMP
            Deadline:  May 1
            Dates:  June 15-17
            Cost:  $75.00
            Currently in Grades:  10 & 11
            Explore the many areas of health care; meet doctors, radiologists, nurses, medical
            assistants, etc.  Limited to 20 students.

            NURSE ASSISTANT PROGRAM
            Dates:  June 1 thru July 23
            8 week program includes 2 days of lecture and 2 days of clinicals each week.

DRURY UNIVERSITY (Springfield, MO)

            Summerscape for those currently in Grades 6 – 8
            Drury Leadership Academy for those currently in Grades 9 - 11
            Deadline:  Open until classes are full
            Dates:  July 11-22
            Cost: $875 (includes residential fees), scholarships available
            For gifted students who wish to enhance their areas of interest, investigate new ideas,
            and interact with their peers.
           
MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY (Springfield, MO)

            CSI/FORENSIC CAMP
            Deadline:  May 31 or when class is full
            Dates:  July 26 thru 30
            Cost:  $750
            Currently in Grades:  10 and 11
            Students will stay on campus and price includes room and board.  Classes will be taught
            by professionals working in criminology and criminal justice including police officer,
            detective, crime scene investigator, coroner and judge.  A mock crime scene will be
            investigated as a team competition.

MISSOURI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (Rolla, MO)

            Deadline:  Open until classes are filled
            Dates:  Varies depending on program
            Cost:  Varies depending on program
            Currently in Grades:  1st thru 11th
            Programs include Aerospace Camp, Explosives Camp, Engineering, Nuclear
            Engineering, Robotics, even some for girls only.  http://summer.mst.edu

OTIS COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN (Los Angeles, CA)

            Deadline:  April 30
            Dates:  July 6 thru 30
            Cost:  $2,724 (scholarships available)
            Ages 15 and older
            Small classes with personalized, hands-on studio classes and a final exhibition by
            the students.

PHILLIPS ACADEMY (Andover, Massachusetts)

            Deadline:  Open until classes are filled, March 1 for financial aid requests
            Dates:  June 28 to August 6
            Cost:  $6,600 (includes room & board), financial aid available
            Currently in Grades:  7 thru 11
Take two courses which could be counted toward high school credits.

SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY (Classes are in Springfield, MO)

            Deadline:  Open until classes are filled, class size is limited
            Dates:  July 16 thru Aug 13 for current 8th thru 10th graders
                        July 14 thru Aug 11 for current 11th graders thru adults
            Cost:  Unknown
            Improve reading skills and speed reading programs for children as young as 4 years
            old to adults.  Classes are held at Drury University.

UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI – COLUMBIA (Columbia, MO)

            SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS
            Deadline:  Varies by camp
            Dates:  Varies by camp
            Cost:  $400 and up
            Currently in Grades:  7 thru 11
            Five week-long camps are offered:  Piano, Band, Composition, Honor Choir, and
            Chamber Music.

WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY (St. Louis, MO)

            HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOLARS
            Deadline:  May 7 and June 11
            Dates:  June 13 – July 17 or July 18 – August 20
            Cost:  $6,285 residential, $4,895 non-residential, financial aide available
            Currently in Grades:  10 or 11
            Earn up to 7 units of college credit in foreign languages, the sciences, the
            humanities, the arts and the social sciences.  Must have B+ grades or better, and
            ACT of 25 or better

            YOUNG WRITERS INSTITUTE
            Deadline:  May 7
            Dates:  June 13 – 26
            Cost:  Unknown
            Currently in Grades:  10 or 11
            Earn 3 units of college credit while studying with working writers.  Must have
