Back to School Literacy Grant
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded Carver a $5,000 Back to School Grant for 2010-2011. The funds will be used to purchase books, audio-books and technology to support a literacy program at Carver. As part of the grant funds students will read books in small groups, meet to discuss them and create book trailers about the books they read. The book trailers can be viewed here.
